Soller shares its valley with the village of Fornalutx and
the hamlet of Biniaraix. The joint population amounts to approximately 13,000
inhabitants. The valley is famous for its orchards of orange trees and terraces
of thousand-year-old olive trees. Soller Valley and its natural port are half
an hour away from Palma de Mallorca Airport and have a good network of transport
with its railway, the tramway and coach services. The valley and the surrounding
mountains, the ‘Serra de Tramuntana’, are a favourite destination
for people all around the world, particularly among the enthusiasts of hiking,
nature, rural tourism, swimming and also among those who simply look for a quiet
rest away from the noisiness of some more well-known destinations. www.viu-soller.com

The house is positioned on the outskirts of the town, in one
of the quietest areas of the Soller Valley, but even so, it is only five minutes
away by car and fifteen on foot from the town centre. Palma de Mallorca Airport
is 30 minutes away as well as the city of Palma de Mallorca. The closest beach
is 5 Km (3.2 miles) away from the house, although there are numerous beaches
to visit in the Majorcan coastline where you can enjoy clear and calm waters,
from the rocky coves of the North coast to the sandy beaches of the South and
East of the island.
